Cliff, Percussion
Cliff, 13, plays percussion in the Kilmer Symphonic Band. A true asset to the band, he enhances any performance whether standing behind the snare drum, timpani, or any of the mallet instruments or accessories he can bring his proficiency to. His solid rhythmic skills and enviable technique are coupled with a cool and level-headed demeanor, making Cliff a quintessential percussionist.
Grace, Flute
Grace, 13, plays the flute and piccolo in the Kilmer Symphonic Band. Equipped with an impressive arsenal of technique, she can produce some real pyrotechnics when armed with her flute. However, you wouldn’t assume such musical tenacity when chatting with her. Grace is soft-spoken when it comes to her talents and allows her playing to speak for itself.
Ben, Clarinet
Ben, 13, plays the bass clarinet in the Kilmer Symphonic Band. Regarded by his peers as one of the finest and most intelligent musicians in the Kilmer program, Ben can frequently be heard playing through excerpts from his favorite orchestral works and can be counted on to have the answer to just about any musical question posed during rehearsal.
