Uniform Fittings 9/25

This Friday in class a representative from Metropolitan Formal Wear will come to measure students for their Kilmer Band concert uniform. This uniform will be used for all performances by the band during this school year. Please do not buy these pieces individually from another vendor. We are asking that everybody buy this uniform from Metropolitan to ensure that all colors and styles match exactly. Pride in appearance is an important factor in performing well and we want to be sure that our uniform is in fact uniform! Students will be able to use this uniform for both 7th and 8th grade.

The Kilmer Band  uniform will be as follows:
White tuxedo shirt (purchased from MFW)
Black pants or full-length skirt (purchased from MFW – come already hemmed)
Bow tie and/or cummerbund (provided by Kilmer and returned at the end of the year)
Black socks or pantyhose (purchased on your own)
Black dress shoes (do not need to be tux shoes - purchased on your own)

The packaged price for the girls’ skirt and top is $47, while the boys’ pant and shirt is $50. Since the students are being measured in class, all of the items will arrive already tailored and hemmed to each person’s exact size at no additional cost. The uniform is also the same as last year. Eighth grade students who already have a uniform can use the one they have or purchase any parts they need to replace. Students also participating in choir or orchestra should not purchase multiple uniforms.

If there is financial difficulty with this and/or your child receives a free/reduced priced lunch, assistance may be available. Contact Mr. Dodson immediately if that is the case. Additionally, if you would like to sponsor a uniform for a child in need or donate a uniform used by a previous Kilmer Band member, please contact Mr. Dodson. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email.
